About us

Harataunga/Kennedy Bay Predator Control Rōpu Incorporated or Hunt Trap Harataunga was formed in 2021 by landowners, kaumatua, and kaitiaki so that Harataunga/Kennedy Bay would have a group that not only holds the interest of its iwi/hapu and landowners but the interest of our kararehe that inhabit our whenua and awa/moana.

Our goal is to eradicate all pests through trapping and not using residual poisons like 1080 that poison our lands and waters. The goal is to create a network of traps throughout the properties of Harataunga/Kennedy Bay so that our current and future trappers have the tracks and resources to look after our whenua.
